Q. How far away is the beach?
A. You can be on the beach in approximately 15 seconds. Go out the front gate, take a few steps to the left to cross the street at the crossing, and access the beach at the Barracuda Street Beach Access walkway.

A. Yes, but we do not provide beach towels.

A. Upon arrival you will find liquid soap at the bathroom sinks, 1 roll of TP and a liner per trash can. Please bring shower soap and additional supplies with you when you come or remember to purchase them when you shop here.
Q. Where is the closest grocery store?
A. There are many options, all within a very short distance. A full service Publix with a liquor store is less than 2 miles away - approximately 4 min. by car or a 30 min. walk and The Fresh Market is a little further down. A Super WalMart is 2 miles away to the west on Emerald Coast Pkwy (Hwy 98).
Q. Is the Gulf of Mexico water really as clear as they say and sand as white?
A. Yes, there is a spectacular contrast between the calm, emerald green Gulf water and the pure white "sugar" sand--it is breathtaking. Destin is known for having the most beautiful beaches anywhere.
Q. Where is the nearest airport?
A. Okaloosa Airport is 17 miles away, Pensacola is about 60 miles and Panama City is about 55 miles. May be a bit more in time, depending on traffic.

A. We trust you to live in our beautiful home for a week, you can trust us with your deposit. It is just a bit of insurance to ensure that you will take care of the home and leave it as you found it. After your departure, the house is cleaned and inspected for damage or missing items. If the home is found to be in proper order, we will either destroy your deposit check or return it to you, whichever you prefer.
Q. Do you rent to school/college groups, or groups with chaperones?
A. This would be determined on a case by case matter. Call to inquire.

Q. Why can't I bring my pet?
A. Even the best behaved pets can act out of character in a new environment. We have chosen not to take that risk. In addition, cleaning fees are higher, future guests with allergies may be affected, etc., etc. Sorry - we are firm on this issue!

A. The home was totally renovated within the last year. Granite countertops and stainless steel appliances in the kitchen. All new furnishings in the living room and dining room. New beds and bedroom furniture. It is absolutely beautiful!! Check out the photos under Sunny Oasis!

A. Yes, enjoy awesome views of the gulf from the upper balcony and from the master bedroom.

A. Yes, the pool may be heated for an additional fee. Call for price.

A. Our lovely pool has steps that lead into the shallow end which is 3 feet deep and gradually descends to 4 feet at the deep end. As required by Florida law, we have safety alarms on all exterior doors.
Q. Are we handicap accessible?
A. It is not wheelchair accessible. You must go up steps to enter the home at either entrance.

A. It is not necessary for you to clean the home BUT you must follow the checkout procedures as defined in the handbook you will find in the home upon check-in. Please be sure to put everything back the way you found it.
Q. What about refunds if the weather gets bad?
A. We do not give refunds. If you are concerned about the possibility of wanting to cancel due to weather, you can purchase Travel Protection for approximately $200 at: Insuremytrip.com, Quotewrite.com, AIG Travel Guard or CSA Travel Protection.

A. Yes, we have several in the outdoor storage closet. We ask that you please be considerate and return the chairs to the closet at the end of each day and keep it locked so they will be available for future guests.
Q. Do we need to take care of the pool?
A. We would appreciate it if you could use the pool net found hanging on the side of the guest house to clean out any debris that enters the pool while you are there. We do have a pool service that comes on a weekly basis to maintain it.
Q. How do we reserve the house if we decide we like it?
A. A deposit of half of the the total bill is due immediately upon booking. We will email you a confirmation form that you will sign and returen. 30 days before check-in the balance is due, along with the $600 security deposit.

A. Yes, only $200.
